ARCHSTROY ARCHITECTS

HISTORY. Archstroy was established in 1990 by the group of leading architects and engineers of the Nizhny Novgorod City Project Institute. At that moment the founders of the firm had on average 15 to 20 years of professional experience. Archstroy’s team building, purchase of the office in Nizhny Novgorod’s downtown, and acquiring of the company’s professional and creative reputation coincided with the formation of Nizhny Novgorod planning and construction market. From mid 1990s Archstroy is one of the leading architectural bureaus in the region. For the last fifteen years our company has developed around one hundred projects, more than thirty of which have been constructed.

WORK. We suggest the decision of the various architectural tasks: from large (hundreds hectares) complexes and town-planning tasks to the private villas in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod. Amongst our most significant works are the following projects:

  • The concept of development of Nizhegorodkaya Fair trade and exhibition center
    (the first phase of construction is accomplished)
  • Reconstruction of the resident area in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod
    between Street Gorky and Belinsky Street (several blocks of the area are already built)
  • The administrative and commercial buildings in the streets of Bolshaya Pokrovskaya,
    Nesterova, and Kostina
  • The apartment houses in Minina and Osharskaya street

During last two years the company has developed several large projects, namely, the hotel complex in Sennaya square, the complex of apartment houses in Kazanskaya embankment, and Nizhny Novgorod World Trade Center.

ACHIEVEMENTS. Starting from 1995 Archstroy has received awards almost at every Zodchestvo festival (the annual international festival organized by the Union of Architects of Russia). The company participated twice in the Arch Moscow exhibitions. In 1994, 2002 and 2004 our projects were rewarded with the Nizhny Novgorod City Premium in Architecture. Our work and projects are appeared in numerous publications in Vaggio in Russia (Milan, Italy), Magyar epitomuvezet (Budapest, Hungary), Project Russia, Project Classics, Project Volga, and Architekturny Vestnik. Many Archstroy’s projects are included as sights in Nizhny Novgorod city guides such as Welcome – Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny-CITY, 111 Buildings and Projects, and Sladky Gorky (Sweet Gorky).

Despite of architectural
specialization of the company,
we also pay special attention
to the technical policies
and our chief engineer
supervises construction process
at its every stage.

by the chief executive.
